Application Details
AgricultureAs a fungicide, algaecide, herbicide, or root killer. It can be used to control fungi on fruits, protect wood, and stimulate growth in pigs and chickens. It can also be applied to soil as a fertilizer.
MedicineUsed in blood tests to detect anemia.
ChemistryUsed as a reagent in laboratories, and in Fehling's solution and Benedict's solution to test for reducing sugars.
ConstructionUsed in paints, construction chemicals, and detergents.
LeatherUsed to produce impregnates for leather.
TextilesUsed as a mordant in fabric dyeing.
MiningUsed to activate sulfides in the flotation of metal ores.
