1) Soap & Detergent Industry
Saponification, the core process in soap making, involves the reaction of triglycerides (fats and oils) with caustic soda to produce soap — sodium salts of fatty acids.
2) Textile Industry
Used in mercerization of cotton, dyeing, and fabric processing to enhance strength, shine, and absorbency.
3) Paper & Pulp Industry
Used in pulping wood to extract cellulose and in bleaching processes for whitening paper.
4) Petroleum Products
Neutralizes acidic contaminants in petroleum refining and helps in the manufacture of biodiesel.
5) Food Industry
Used for peeling fruits and vegetables, cocoa processing, and as a pH regulator (with strict safety standards).
6) Water Treatment
Adjusts pH levels and removes heavy metals during wastewater treatment processes.
